All-Throwback Team   Leave a comment

In order to qualify, the player had to  currently be on an NBA Roster. My selections were based on looks and game but a combination of both was ideal. Here’s my starting five. Guard: James Harden When terms like “craftiness” and “all-around game” are used to describe a 20 year-old rookie, you know he’s a throwback.

Is the Hibachi Cooked?   2 comments

Two nights ago Raz and I hit the Wizards-Bobcats game. The stakes were high for both teams. The loser had sole possession of last place in the division. At this point in the season, the Southeastern Division is the class of the Eastern Conference and maybe the NBA. Orlando and Atlanta are two of the [...]

From the Archives: David Falk   Leave a comment

Just dug this up. A fascinating article on David Falk written in 1996 when he was at the height of his powers as an agent. Lack of criticism = Lack of credibility   1 comment

“Pay No Attention to that Man behind the curtain!” … I guess the Great and Powerful Oz has spoken. Or at least the Great and Powerful Commissioner Stern has. You felt it during the ’02 Game 6 Western Conference Finals between Los Angeles and Sacramento. My brother (the consummate conspiracy theorist) knew that something was [...]
